Let's fight for a new life!
Homeland is overjoyed at the unveiling of the twentieth issue. The magazine expands with the pride of having published twenty magazines despite unlimited restrictions.
Not only are direct barriers to literary prosperity extinguished; Some of the limitations set by the people themselves can be a hindrance. Contemporary socio-economic and political activities are set to limit people within such limits.
The obligation to pave the way for the extermination of such beasts, which are locked up by external forces and by the people themselves, has the power to benefit the people. Literary - Art literary movements, can not deviate from this obligation.
The motherland has continued to fulfill this historic task of its own. From the outset, the homeland emphasized the need for a broad united front to defend the nation's independence, sovereignty and to build a new democratic culture. In its twentieth track, Homeland emphasizes the need for united action for any crisis facing the people.
In general, the relatively dominant social outlook among Sri Lankan Tamil writers, despite having different worldviews, has been arguably a good feature; In more than half a dozen Sri Lankan Tamil magazines published today, we find works depicting contemporary life. At the same time, it is necessary to emphasize the broad unity of all, based on the interests of the people. Although not explicitly emphasized so far, not all of them have ever commented against this principle.
Sri Lankan Tamil magazines are united on another point. Nothing was released in due course. Homeland Twentieth Magazine should have arrived at least three months ago No need to explain because everyone knows the reason for the delay.
The Homeland still promotes the bi-monthly issue of a magazine. Continuing obstacles must lead. The motherland will continue its work for our own cultural development despite any difficulties.
Let us fight together for a new democracy, a new culture, a new life!

புதிய ஜனநாயகம் புதிய பண்பாடு புதிய வாழ்வுக்காக போராடுவோம்! இருபதாவது இதழை மொட்டவிழ்ப்பதில் தாயகம் மட்டற்ற மகிழ்வடைகிறது.
அளவற்ற தடைகளை மீறி இருபது இதழ்கள் வெளிவந்த பெருமிதத்துடன் இந்த இதழ் விரிகிறது.
இலக்கியச் செழுமைக்கு நேரடித் தடைகள் மட்டும் அணைபோடுவதில்லை; மக்கள் தாமே வகுத்துக் கொண்ட சில வரம்புகளும் இடையூறாக ஆவதுண்டு. மக்களை அத்தகைய வரம்புக்குள் அடைப்பதாய் சமகால சமூக பொருளாதார அரசியல் செயற்பாடுகள் அமைவதுண்டு.
புறச்சக்திகளும், மக்கள் தமக்குத் தாமேயும் பூட்டிக்கொண்ட இத்தகைய விலங்குகளை தகர்த்தெறியும் மார்க்கத்தை வகுக்கும் கடப்பாடு மக்கள் நலன் விரும்பும் சக்திகட்குண்டு. இலக்கியவாதிகள் - கலை இலக்கிய இயக்கங்கள், இந்தக் கடமையிலிருந்து விலகிக் கொள்ள முடியாது.
தாயகம் தனக்குரிய இந்த வரலாற்றுப் பணியை தொடர்ந்து நிறைவேற்றி வந்திருக்கிறது. தேசத்தின் சுதந்திரம் இறைமையைப் பாதுகாக்கவும் - புதிய ஜனநாயக கலாச்சாரத்தைக் கட்டியெழுப்பவும், பரந்த ஐக்கிய முன்னணி அவசியம் என தாயகம் ஆரம்பம் முதல் வலியுறுத்தி வந்தது. மக்கள் எதிர்கொள்ளும் எத்தகைய நெருக்கடிகளுக்கும் ஐக்கியப்பட்ட செயல் முறைகளின் அவசியத்தையே தாயகம் தனது இருபதாவது சுவட்டிலும் அழுத்திக் கூறுகிறது.
பொதுவாகவே, வெவ்வேறு உலகக் கண்ணோட்டங்களை கொண்டிருந்தாலும் இலங்கைத் தமிழ் எழுத்தாளர்களிடம் ஒப்பீட்டு ரீதியில் சமூகப்பார்வை மேலோங்கிக் காணப்படுவது விதந்துரைக்கத்தக்க நல்ல அம்சமாக இருந்து வந்துள்ளது; இன்றும் வெளிவரும் அரை டசினுக்கு மேலான இலங்கைத் தமிழ் சஞ்சிகைகளில், சமகால வாழ்வைச் சித்தரிக்கும் படைப்புக்களையே காண்கிறோம். கூடவே, மக்கள் நலனை அடிப்படையாகக் கொண்டு, அவையனைத்தும் பரந்து பட்ட ஐக்கியத்தை வலியுறுத்துவது அவசியமாகும். வெளிப்படையாக இதுவரை வலியுறுத்தி வரவில்லை யென்றாலும் அவையனைத்தும் இந்தக்கோட்பாட்டுக்கு விரோதமாக ஒருபோதும் கருத்துத் தெரிவித்ததில்லை.
இன்னுமொரு விடயத்திலும் இலங்கைத் தமிழ் சஞ்சிகைகள் ஒற்றுமையுடையன. குறித்த காலத்தில் எவையும் வெளிவரமுடியவில்லை. தாயகம் இருபதாவது இதழ் குறைந்தது மூன்று மாதங்களுக்கு முன் வந்திருக்க வேண்டியது காலதாமதமானதற்கான காரணத்தை அனைவரும் அறிவர் என்பதால் விளக்க வேண்டியதில்லை.
இப்போதும் தாயகம் இருமாதம் ஒரு இதழ் தவறாது வெளிவரவேண்டும் என பிரதிக்ஞை செய்கிறது. தொடரும் தடைகள் வழிவிட வேண்டும். எமது சொந்தப் பண்பாட்டு விருத்திக்கு தாயகம் எந்தக் கஷ்டங்களையும் தாங்கித் தன் பணி தொடரும். புதிய ஜனநாயகம், புதிய பண்பாடு, புதிய வாழ்வுக்காக ஒருங்கிணைந்து போராடுவோம்!
