May Day Rally Speech in 1989 

 
" If the Premadasa Government has come to negotiate with  the Liberation Tigers (LTTE)  , we can understand that what we have already said is 'true'. We accept negotiation  . At the same time it can become a bouquet  . It must truly pave the way for the establishment and preservation of the unity of both races that can live in freedom and sovereignty in our country.  A suitable way must be set up to create and  preserve unity . For everything in advance , 'Veliyoya' separate district in the setup should be abandoned. The Eastern Province by popular vote, temporarily stopped  ,  even completely abandon the Ceylon Communist Party, the Left insisted stands  . That 's the decent thing to do , and it should end there.  The institutions  , the people and the confidence returns . Mutually  dialogue that will treat the situation      stronger and the only form  . Based on Sri Lankan government's discretion or the Indian government's discretion   ,  unilateral decisions established, or arbitrary decisions  ,  and the weapons, would not bring peace to our land . This is our position.  "

"பிரேமதாசா அரசு, விடுதலைப் புலிகளுடன் பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கு வந்திருக்கிறதென்றால் ,நாம் ஏற்கனவே கூறிய உண்மை "உண்மைதான்' என்பதை   விளங்கிக் கொள்ள முடியும் .நாம் பேச்சுவார்த்தையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்கிறோம் .அதேநேரம் அது பூச்சண்டியாக அமையக்கூடும் .அது உண்மையாக இரு இனங்களும் ,எமது நாட்டில்  சுதந்திரத்துடனும்,  இறையான்மையுடனும் வாழக்கூடியதான ஒற்றுமையை ஏற்படுத்துவதற்கும், பாதுகாப்பதற்கும்  ஏற்ற வழி அமைக்கப்படவேண்டும். அதற்க்கு முன்பாகவே, வெலியோயா தனி மாவட்டமாக அமைப்பதைக் கைவிடவேண்டும்.அத்தோடு கிழக்கு மாகாணத்தில் சர்வஜன வாக்கெடுப்பை தற்காலிகமாக நிறுத்தி , ஏன் முற்றாகவே கைவிடவேண்டும் என்று இலங்கை கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி இடது வலியுறுத்தி நிற்கிறது . இதன் மூலம் தான் பேச்சுவார்த்தைக்கு போகக் கூடிய ஸ்தாபனங்களுக்கும் ,மக்களுக்கும் நம்பிக்கையைத் தரும்.பரஸ்பரம் விட்டுக்கொடுத்து பேச்சுவார்த்தையை   நடத்தக்கூடிய சூழ்நிலையையும் உருவாகமுடியும் . இதனைவிடுத்து இலங்கை அரசின் விருப்பத்தின் பேரிலோ, இந்திய அரசின் விருப்பத்தின் பேரிலோ , ஒருதலைப்பட்ச முடிவுகளின் பேரிலோ ஏற்படுத்தப்படக்கூடிய தீர்மானங்களும் , முடிவுகளும் , ஆயுதங்களும் எமது தேசத்தில் அமைதியை நிலை நிறுத்த முடியாது . இதுவே எமது நிலைப்பாடாகும் ".-கே ஏ சுப்பிரமணியம் 1989

 " We have opposed India's intervention from the beginning.The people of Sri Lanka have to make some concessions because of the agreement made by the Sri Lankan government. The waiver ,  India combined tripartite dialogue. The Government of Sri Lanka, the Government of India and the other Liberation Organizations should co-operate in these negotiations and co-operate in a concerted effort to reach an end,leaving that and doing choking work on each other would pose a great danger to our country and people. "                   

 “ நாம் இந்தியாவின் தலையீட்டை  ஆரம்பம் தொட்டு எதிர்த்து வந்திருக்கின்றோம். இலங்கை அரசு செய்துகொண்ட ஒப்பந்தம் என்ற காரணத்தினால் , சில  விட்டுக் கொடுப்பை இலங்கை மக்கள் செய்யவேண்டும். அந்த விட்டுக்கொடுப்பு, இந்தியாவையும் இணைத்த முத்தரப்புப் பேச்சுவார்த்தை.  இந்தப் பேச்சுவார்த்தை இலங்கை அரசு, இந்திய அரசு , ஏனைய விடுதலை அமைப்புகள் மூன்றும் ஒன்றுகதைத்து ஒரு முடிவுக்கு வரக்கூடிய வெற்றிகாணக் கூடிய முயற்ச்சிக்கு ஒத்துழைக்க வேண்டும், அதைவிட்டு விட்டு ஒன்றிற்கொன்று கழுத்தறுப்பு வேலைகளை செய்வது, எமது நாட்டிற்கும், மக்களுக்கும் பெரிய ஆபத்தை விளைவிக்கும். "

" You all already know our position on India, but I have to say something again. From its inception, the Communist Party of Sri Lanka, led by  Peter Kenaman and Wickremesinghe, has been warning of 'foreign intervention', even after the split due to the ideological differences, our party follow the same. Political parties and liberation movements in Sri Lanka have failed to heed this. India began its expansion by taking advantage of the 1983  ethnic riots . It is the government of Sri Lanka   who supported  this in the similar manner . The deal was formed .  It's confusing in many ways.  There are certain aspects that can help the liberation  and  future of the Tamil people . However the majority of the issues in the agreement affect not only the Tamil people but all Sri Lankans. We have  to oppose or amend them. "     - K.A. "இந்தியா பற்றிய எமது நிலை ஏற்கனவே நீங்கள் அறிந்ததே , இருந்தும் சிலதை திரும்ப சொல்ல வேண்டும். ஆரம்பம் தொட்டு இலங்கை கம்யூனிஸ்ட் கட்சி பீட்டர் கெனமன், விக்கிரமசிங்க போன்றோர் தலைமையிலும் சரி, பின்னர் கருத்துவேறுபட்டு பிரிந்த  பின் எமது கட்சினரும் சரி 'அந்நிய தலையீடு ' பற்றி எச்சரித்தே வந்திருக்கின்றது . இதனை இலங்கையிலுள்ள அரசியல் கட்சிகள், விடுதலை இயக்கங்கள் கவனத்தில் கொள்ள தவறிவிட்டன. 1983 இனக் கலவரத்தை சாதகமாக்கி இந்திய தன்னுடைய விஸ்தரிப்பை ஆரம்பித்தது. அதனை இலங்கை அரசும் ஆதரிப்பது போன்றே நடந்துகொண்டது. ஒப்பந்தம்  உருவானது . இது பல வகையிலும் குழப்பமான ஒன்றாகவே உள்ளது. சில விஷயங்கள் தமிழ் மக்களின் விடுதலைக்கும் , எதிர்காலத்திற்கும் உதவக்கூடிய சில அம்சங்கள் உள்ளன. ஆனால் ஒப்பந்தத்தில் காணப்படும் பெரும்பான்மையான விடயங்கள் தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல சகல இலங்கை மக்களையும் பாதிக்கக் கூடியதே . இதனை எதிர்க்க வேண்டும் அல்லது மாற்றியமைக்க வேண்டும்.”  - கே ஏ சுப்பிரமணியம் மருத்துவமனையில் கடும் சுகவீனமுற்று இருந்து வெளிவந்து ,யாழ் / ஸ்டான்லி வீதியில் 1989-05-01  மேதினத்திலன்று...............
